Zuru Toys is a toy company from New Zealand. They were founded in 2004 and are the current owners of the X-Shot line of dart blasters.

Zuru was founded in Cambridge, New Zealand in a small garage in 2004. Since then they have expanded to over eighty different countries and created a portfolio of brands under a variety of different toy sectors. The headquarters were moved to Guangzhou, China in an attempt to become closer to their manufacturing processes.[1]

One of the most successful products by Zuru is the Robo Fish (now renamed Robo Alive), a million-selling product which became a surprise hit around 2012.[2] Since then they have acquired the rights to produce toys for TV series, including Ultimate Spider-Man and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Their entry into the toy blaster market began with X-Shot in 2011, which then expanded with X-Shot Excel, X-Shot Zombie and X-Shot Pink Series, all of which have been released to combat changing times, advancing performance and new product lines from Nerf.
