The ammunition itself has a green bulb at the front of the rocket, which can be assumed has a foam head and a plastic or elastic stem. The stem is where the ammunition is attached to the blaster in order to be fired. The stem was also likely to be flexible due to the method of firing the rocket, although this is unconfirmed.
The only sort of ammunition similar to this is the Bungee, which used a Ballistic Ball with a piece coming out of it in order to attach to the blaster, just like how the Zap Snaps rocket worked with its blaster.
It was used only with the 1992 Original Nerf Zap Snaps. It was never available in a refill pack and was only included within its patron blaster. This type of ammunition was never expanded on due to the blaster it was included with being unreleased because of safety concerns.
