The Z-Bat is a Nerf-branded Perpetual Play Group melee weapon that was released in 2014 under the Zombie Strike series.

Details[]

The Z-Bat is based off a baseball bat. It is slightly smaller than the Zombie Machete. It is also made of a soft foam. The title "Z-Bat" follows the Zombie Strike theme of implementing the letter Z into the titles of various products, namely the Z-Bomb and Z-Bomb Holster.

Similar to that of the Hammershot and the SledgeFire, the Z-Bat has cloth detailing "wrapped" around its grip. It also has metal and barbed wire detailing around the tip, and bloodstains on the wood grain. It seems to be very soft around the tip as if nothing there.

History[]

It was first revealed in April of 2014.[1] Upon release, it was a Target exclusive in the United States.

Around 2015, versions of the Z-Bat were released with a more pale yellow color scheme, without the reddish-pink bloodstains and a different, sharper and more rigid mold for the tip. It is unknown why this is the case, as the difference is barely noticable, and there are still Z-Bats with the original design in production.

Trivia[]

  • The Z-Bat is the third Zombie Strike melee weapon to be released, after the Zombie Machete and Strikeblade.
  • The packaging shows a picture of someone using the SledgeFire and not someone wielding the Z-Bat.
