The Warden DB-8 is a double barrel Nerf blaster that was released in fall of 2020 under the Elite 2.0 series.

Included contents[]

Details[]

The Warden is an eight-barreled blaster that can fire up to two darts at a time. Similar to its predecessor, the Rough Cut 2x4, it features a two-step firing trigger and can be slam fired. Much like its predecessor, the blaster also features two plunger tubes.

It has one tactical rail and two strap points, all located on top of the blaster.

It advertises a firing range of up to eighty-five feet (twenty-six meters).

Problems[]

The Warden's internal gear mechanism is notorious for breaking after rough use. Slam firing the Warden is not recommended, as this is known to lead to malfunctions or the blaster breaking altogether.[1][2] However, post-production Wardens seemingly have this issue resolved as units after the first batch do not break under slam fire.

Official description[]

History[]

The Warden was leaked online in early 2020, in the form of imageless listings.

Many issues with the Warden were seemingly resolved with a later model of the blaster.

In 2023, it was re-released as the Transformers Optimus Primal.

Trivia[]

  • While firing two darts at a time, there is a very high chance one or two additional darts will fall out of the lower barrels.[2]This issue was later somewhat fixed in later models of the Warden, but is not completely resolved.
  • The Warden DB-8 is featured as a weapon in the Roblox game Nerf Strike.
