An ULTRA Dart is a type of Nerf ammunition that was released in fall of 2019 under the ULTRA series.
Details[]
ULTRA Darts are darts that feature built-in fins on the bottom. It has a streamlined dart head, similar to that of Mega Darts, though the dart heads of ULTRA Darts feature two small parallel holes towards the top. The darts are made from expanded polypropylene (EPP) which is brittle and not as flexible as most foam darts, and similar in appearance to styrofoam.[1] The heads are made of soft thermoplastic rubber (TPR).
There have been reports online that ULTRA Darts suffer from significant wear and tear around the dart head.[citation needed] Unlike most darts, ULTRA dart heads are not mechanically anchored to the foam body of the dart. The heads are simply dome shaped caps that are glued onto the shaft, where the head meets the body. This also corresponds to the area under greatest stress when ULTRA Darts impact their target, weakening this joint and often causing the heads to come loose or detach.[citation needed]
ULTRA Darts are similar in diameter to the older Mega Dart.
