Transformers

Transformers is a Hasbro-owned brand of action figures and play sets. It has been used in conjunction with the Nerf and Super Soaker brands to produce a number of cross-promotional products.

Details

A majority of the Transformers Nerf blasters are themed after certain characters from the franchise; a few weapon replicas have been produced, such as the Energon Blaster.

History

The Transformers brand was created in 1984 by Hasbro, as an American adaption of various Japanese toylines. This came with a television series; both it and the toys were extremely popular, and would continue to release products, cartoons, and even feature-length films.

Two limited edition blasters, the Optimus Prime and Bumblebee variants of the Barricade RV-10 were available at the 2011 San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con, respectively.
