Having butterflied both Strongarms and Disruptors, it's pretty evident that the back half of these blasters are nearly identical. In fact they share the same plunger tube, trigger, catch, spring, and AR. I believe the priming handle is also identical. And the Disruptor cylinder is clearly based on the Strongarm. It's only the differences in the front end that differentiate them.
So I wouldn't call one "superior" to the other. There are some distinct differences in loading which may have certain advantages in different situations. But honestly, the Distruptor is practically a variant of the Strongarm.
Personally, I've always LOVED the swing-away cylinder gimmick. (It's even better with the 90° swing mod.) It's also the blaster that got me started in modding. I think I've done every mod known on my beloved Strongarm, Becky. Except a paint job. So this is right up my alley ?
