History[]
The Tek Six is a revised version of the 2003 blaster of the same name. Both variants of the Tek Six would be sold alongside each other, often as alternate versions in the same blaster set.
It has been re-released multiple times, such as for the 2008 Air Blasters series and the 2010 Air Warriors series; during this time, it would receive its more commonly used name: Tek 6. One particular re-release would be the Tek 6X, based on the first model of Tek Six.
The first variant was also re-released as the 2007 LEGO Space Hero Air Blaster. The slimmer, second variant would go on to be re-released as an Air Zone blaster.
Color schemes[]
The Tek 6 has been released with the following color schemes:
Variant one[]
- Ruff Stuff Air Blasters / Air Warriors (yellow, green, silver, and orange)
- Ruff Stuff Air Blasters / Air Warriors (green, black, silver, and orange)
- Air Blasters / Air Warriors (dark green, lime green, silver, and orange)
- Air Blasters (pink, black, silver, and orange)
- Ruff Stuff Air Blasters / Air Warriors (yellow, green, silver, and orange)
Variant two[]
- Air Warriors (dark green, silver, yellow, and orange)
- Air Warriors (dark blue, yellow, black, and orange)
- Air Warriors (yellow, blue, silver, and orange)
- Air Warriors (blue, yellow, silver, and orange)
Variant three[]
- Air Warriors (green, yellow, black, and orange)
Blaster sets[]
Two Tek 6 blasters were available in the Twin Tek 6 blaster set. Two were also included in the Tek Value Set, alongside two Tek 10 blasters.
Modification[]
The Tek 6's spring is often used as a spring replacement to modify certain blasters, such as the Double Shot, Tek 4, Tek 5, Tek 10, and even some Nerf blasters, like the SnapFire and the Jolt EX-1. It is similar to a 5kg spring, also making the addition of it in other blasters possible with few or no need of reinforcing plungers or catch mechanisms.
