Does anyone have an explanation as to why the old blue Mavericks are more mechanically powerful than the newer ones? Is there any proof? This is the only website I've found that makes this claim.

Ummm... Maybe not the best place to ask, but it's the only place I know at least someone will say something. I did something stupid, though I didn't do much of anything. I took apart my Maverick to see the inside, put it back together, and now it's really screwy. The revolver dosen't always spin, and only 1 of 4 shots shoot, and only 1 of 8 shoot as far as before. Can anyone tell me what happend, and how to fix it? Or where I should be asking? Or that I've been banned for talking about modifications? Ben Again 00:12, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

Nah, you won't be banned. No worries. If you took apart your barrel, make sure you correctly put it back together. The barrel can be very finicky from time to time if you don't put it back together properly. As for the firing of the blaster, you may have your plunger tube not aligned properly with where the darts will sit in the barrel.
A good idea is to look up Maverick internals on Google or follow a video Maverick modding tutorial and just pay attention to how the uploader puts the blaster back together.
Hope everything gets fixed in the end. JetCell 00:25, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
(*ADDITION made before you talking): I did, however, replace the spring on the thing that releases the air tank by the trigger with a cut-in-half pen spring, after loosing the original like a n00b, but that's the one function that still fully functions. The not shooting is likely the chamber not going in place. It spins just fine when it's open. So it's weird. Ben Again 00:27, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
Your suggestions make sence and are good, but I think my new info might change this. Also I googled some Maverick mod stuffs, the same as got me through the Recon, but no-one put it together. Just "(begins with it open) Ok, open it, do this... and close it (cut to it closed) and now it's better. (ends without fireing it)" So far people aren't as clear with the Maverick. Oh... and while I'm here, what's the deal on stretching springs? I did that to my Longstrike, but it sounds like it's slowly breaking itself with each shot... I also did it to my Recon, but it isn't being scary. Both did successfully get a power boost. Ben Again 00:38, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, some videos cut out the parts where they actually open and close the blaster. There was one video I followed with my first Maverick that was really clear, but I can't seem to find it at all... I could have sworn it was on YouTube.
Stretching the springs gives extra power for firing darts.
As for the barrel not spinning... I'm really not sure. I'm not a very experienced modder, so I'm really not that great with help with this kinda thing. Try surfing YouTube for full tutorials or double-check to see your internals match an image of the Maverick's internals online. Sorry I can't be of more help. JetCell 01:14, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

proof of the old blue version being more powerful

Does anyone have an explanation as to why the old blue Mavericks are more mechanically powerful than the newer ones? Is there any proof? This is the only website I've found that makes this claim.
