Details
The Takedown is a pump-action blaster that holds up to eight High-Impact Rounds at a time, in an internal magazine. It looks similar to the Overwatch Reaper Blaster and Rough Cut 2x4.
Above the muzzle is a small tactical rail, and another one located on the back. Similar to other RIVAL blasters, a safety lever is located above the firing trigger. On the left of the blaster is a priming indicator.

Take on and take down all challengers in Nerf Rival games with the pump-action Nerf Rival Takedown XX-800 blaster. Load this spring-action blaster, pump the priming handle, and press the trigger to fire 1 round. The Takedown XX-800 blaster has an 8-round capacity, so choose your targets and fire 8 rounds in a row. Go the distance with this Team Red blaster that launches rounds at 90 feet per second. Easy loading: Pull the handle back to open the breech, load 8 darts into the chamber, push the handle forward, and press the trigger to fire 1 round. Move the handle backward and forward to prime the blaster for the next shot. A trigger lock prevents it from firing accidentally. Includes 8 Official Nerf Rival rounds. |
History
The Takedown was first seen on the back of a leaked image of the Roundhouse XX-1500's packaging; at the time, its name was unknown. Later, its name and price were discovered on an online listing of it. Its modern design was later leaked alongside that of the Charger MXX-1200.
In 2021, two Supreme-themed Takedown blasters were released, as a collaboration between Supreme and Nerf.
Color schemes
The Takedown XX-800 has been released with the following color schemes:
- Team Red (red, black, and orange)
- Supreme (light blue, sea green, and orange)
- Supreme (light pink, light orange, and orange)
Trivia
- This blaster can actually be "double-loaded" and is capable of firing two to four rounds at once by using the jam switch after priming to chamber another round.
- Interestingly, the Takedown XX-800 has a plastic hop-up tab instead of a rubber one. This may have been a cost saving measure.
