Details
The Super Soaker 50 is an air-powered soaker, with its water reservoir located on top of the blaster. It was advertised on the original packaging as the "most powerful watergun ever", claiming a firing range of fifty feet.
History
In 1984, the rocket scientist Lonnie Johnson was working on a heat pump system prototype. After testing it, he figured out that system could be used for creating a powerful water gun. After years of developing, Johnson took his idea and tried to sell it for big toy companies. In 1990, he sold the idea for Larami, which released the Power Drencher. The product was successful and it was eventually renamed to Super Soaker 50.
