The Soldier: 76 Blaster is a Nerf blaster that was released in fall of 2019 under the RIVAL series to promote the video game Overwatch. It requires six "D" batteries to be operated.

Included contents[]

Details[]

The Soldier: 76 Blaster is a fully automatic, conveyor-belt system RIVAL blaster based on the Heavy Pulse Rifle used by the character Soldier: 76. It has a capacity of thirty High Impact Rounds in its integrated hopper. Unlike most modern motorized RIVAL blasters, the Soldier: 76 Blaster is not compatible with the Rechargeable Battery Pack. Like all RIVAL blasters, there is a safety switch, located above the firing trigger.

On both sides of the blaster, there is a reciprocating "bolt" like the one in the game, that simulates recoil every time the blaster is fired. However, unlike in-game, the bolt reciprocates forward instead of backwards. If the bolt is blocked, the blaster will not actually fire. There is also a small blue light screen near the back of the blaster, in place of the in-game weapon's ammunition counter. The screen lights up when the blaster is revved up.

Official description[]

History[]

The Soldier: 76 Blaster was first announced online in June of 2019.

Value packs[]

The Soldier: 76 Blaster can also be purchased with a visor. Besides the addition of the mask, no other bonuses come with the Soldier: 76 Blaster.

Trivia[]

  • While the blaster holds up to thirty High-Impact Rounds, the Heavy Pulse Rifle in the game has an ammunition capacity of only twenty-five.
