Details[]

The Sidestrike is a single-fire blaster. It is advertised as being a "quick-draw" blaster, meant to be used with its included holster accessory. It will slot into this holster either way without problem. Two additional darts can be stored underneath the muzzle.

It has a tactical rail on the bottom, as well as a sling point built into the grip. A small set of iron sights sit atop the blaster.

It advertises a range of up to seventy-five feet (twenty-three meters).

Official description[]

History[]

The Sidestrike was known as the Scout Mk. II in development.

Evidence suggests that the Sidestrike was originally intended for the N-Strike Elite series, rather than the Zombie Strike series. A photo of the Scout Mk. II prototype bears a painted N-Strike Elite logo on the grip, as well as an N-Strike Elite logo on the holster.

The Sidestrike was unveiled for the first time alongside the remainder of the 2014 Zombie Strike line at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con.[1] This early iteration featured nearly the same exact design as the final production blaster, with the exception of some minor paint alterations.

The blaster was first spotted in stores in December of 2013.[2]

It has been re-released three times: in 2014 as an N-Strike Elite blaster, in 2018 as the AccuStrike Series TalonStrike, and in 2023 as the Captain America Blaster.

Trivia[]

  • The Sidestrike may be the spiritual successor to the Scout IX-3, as it has the same external loading system, and was known as the Scout Mk. II during its development.
