The ShellStrike DS-6 is a dart shell Nerf blaster that was released in January of 2020 under the N-Strike Elite series.

Included contents[]

Details[]

The ShellStrike DS-6 is a slide-action shell-loaded blaster that fires three darts at a time. Shells are loaded into a breech, opened up by pushing an button near the firing trigger. Unlike other shell-loaded blasters, the ShellStrike does not automatically eject shells when the breech is opened.

Two additional shells can be stored below the breech area. Built into the blaster's shell and breech system is a long iron sight. A tactical rail is located on the underside of the ShellStrike.

Due to the way the shell sits in the breech, with its dart barrels exposed forward, and the slide-action priming mechanism separate from the break-away function, the ShellStrike can be treated as a muzzle-loading blaster without needing to eject the shell.

Interestingly, the gray trigger variant does not appear to have weakened performance[citation needed].

Official description[]

History[]

The ShellStrike was first leaked online in early November of 2019, featuring the packaging of the ShellStrike. In December of 2019, official stock images were leaked alongside that of the RIVAL Takedown XX-800.

Trivia[]

  • Despite the fact that the ShellStrike DS-6 can hold two shells in storage and one in the chamber, the blaster only comes with two shells.
  • The stock image of the ShellStrike shows the darts not fully seated in the shells.
  • This is the last official Nerf blaster released under the N-Strike Elite line before the launch of Elite 2.0
