The Ripshot is a Nerf blaster that was released in 2014 under the Zombie Strike series.

It comes packaged with three XLR Discs and instructions.

Details

The Ripshot is a single-shot disc blaster that features no tactical rails, a sling point above its muzzle, and a disc storage space for up to three discs under its muzzle. Discs are loaded in a similar fashion to the Proton and Ricochet. There is a jam release switch on the top of the priming mechanism. A built-in sight is seen at the top of the blaster.

It it advertised as a "stealthy" blaster.

History

This was first revealed at the 2013 Toy Fair along with the entire 2014 Zombie Strike line. The differences between the prototype model and the finalized production model mostly came down to color swaps and logo changes; for the most part, no major changes were made.

Reloading and firing

To reload the Ripshot, place a single disc in its muzzle; three more can be stored in the front disc storage. Pull the priming handle back to prime the blaster.

Pull the trigger to fire a disc. Push the priming handle forward to reset the blaster.

Trivia

  • It looks very similar to the Zombie Strike Ricochet, but with an added ammunition storage area and jam release switch.
  • Unlike most XLR Disc blasters, the Ripshot does not use a torsion spring to fire.[1]
