Rip Rockets is a series of Nerf blasters that was released in 1993.
Details[]
The Rip Rockets line consisted of smaller blasters that were all powered by air pressure; all lacked firing triggers and all fired a new form of ammunition known as Rip Rockets, which would later be known as Micro Darts.
History[]
The series ran for a single year and was discontinued. The line was revived for the release of two more blasters in November of 1996 before being permanently dropped thereafter.
It has two successor series; the 1994 Hyper Rip Rockets series and the 1995 Ambush Rip Rockets series. Both series used a similar concept of small blasters that are designed as pocket blasters and to use Micro Darts.
One of the final production blasters, the Switchfire, was later re-released around 2000 as a part of the Ambush Rip Rockets line.
