The Reaper Blaster is a Nerf blaster that was released in 2019 under the RIVAL series to promote the video game Overwatch.
Included contents[]
- 1 Reaper Blaster
- 8 red Overwatch High-Impact Rounds
Details[]
The Reaper Blaster is a slide-action blaster with an internal eight-round magazine. It is based on the Hellfire Shotguns used by the character Reaper in the game; the blaster's color scheme is based on the "Wight" cosmetic skin, and not the original black color scheme that Reaper has equipped by default.
The Reaper Blaster has a loading gate at the top of the blaster, similar to the Kronos XVIII-500. The priming handle is in the form of a large hook located above the grip. The safety is located on the left-hand side of the blaster, and the unjamming switch is located above the safety. The unjamming switch allows the blaster's priming handle to be pulled back even when the blaster is primed, to clear jams.

The reckoning draws near. Moving through the world like a shadow, Overwatchs Reaper is a mysterious mercenary whose motives are unknown. Designed for the ultimate Overwatch fan, this blaster is designed in the style of Reapers signature accessory in Blizzard Entertainments internationally acclaimed team-based action game. This breech-load Overwatch Nerf Rival blaster holds 8 rounds and fires them at a velocity of 90 feet per second (27 meters per second). It has a spring-action mechanism, a ready indicator and a trigger lock that prevents it from firing accidentally, and comes with 8 high-impact Overwatch Nerf Rival rounds. |
History[]
The Reaper Blaster was first announced in July of 2018. It was the first Overwatch blaster announced.
Blaster sets[]
Two Reaper Blasters come packaged with the Reaper Blaster (Wight Edition) Collector Pack, along with an exclusive face mask.
Trivia[]
- The Reaper Blaster's capacity of eight rounds is most likely a reference to the Hellfire Shotgun's ammunition capacity in the game, which is also eight rounds.
- However, in-game, Reaper actually dual-wields the weapon, which means that the actual capacity would be only four rounds for a single shotgun.
- In the past, modders would paint the N-Strike Elite Rough Cut 2x4 to match the appearance of the Hellfire Shotgun.
- The Reaper Blaster was internally known as the "Rival Licorice Single", prior to its announcement and release; this name can be still be seen on some online retailers.
