The Ravager is a Nerf blaster that was released in fall of 2016 under the Alien Menace series.
It comes packaged with eight Alien Menace Darts.
It is a worldwide Toys "R" Us exclusive.
Details
The Ravager is a pump-action Nerf blaster. It holds up to eight darts at a time; the large orange turret rotates after each shot. It has one large strap point built into the back end of the blaster.
The Ravager's turret sometimes doesn't fully rotate and can cause jams. Unlike many blasters, the jam is a mechanic jam instead of a dart jam. The reason may be the barrel's weight, which seem badly balanced. Furthermore, the barrel rotates after each shot, meaning that it is driven by the piston's power, which can be less reliable.
History
The Ravager was announced at the 2016 New York Toy Fair, alongside the Incisor.
Reloading and firing
To reload the Ravager, load up to eight darts into the front turret. Slide the priming handle back, then forward.
Pull the firing trigger to fire a dart.
Trivia
- An alternate, blue color scheme for the Ravager was found on Sam Practor's website, one of Hasbro's branding designers. The variant was never released.
