The Quickfire 12 is a revolver-style blaster similar to the Nerf N-Strike Maverick REV-6 or the N-Strike Elite Strongarm. However, unlike those blasters, the Quickfire 12 has a removable, swappable cylinder, which allows for easy reloading on the fly. This cylinder auto-advances on the prime.
Its second cylinder can be stored under the first, snapping into place via plastic peg. The main, firing cylinder is held in place by the front muzzle part of the blaster, which folds down when a black button on top is pushed in.
The Quickfire 12 was re-released as an Air Zone blaster under the name Double Barrel Shooter. A later re-release, again under the Air Zone brand, as the Quickfire 12 Shooter Double Barrel and with a new color scheme.
The Quickfire 12 has been released with the following color schemes:
- Dart Zone Quickfire 12 /Air Zone Double Barrel Shooter (red, grey, yellow, and orange)
- Air Zone Quickfire 12 Shooter Double Barrel (red, black, and orange)
