The Pocket Vortex is a Nerf-branded Koosh product that was released under the Koosh Vortex series.

Details[]

The Pocket Vortex is a small football with three fins on the end of it to allow it to fly further. It is often printed with logos and color schemes of NFL teams.

Official description[]

History[]

The football was initially released under the Koosh brand sometime in the late 1990s. It was folded into the Nerf brand, along with the rest of the Koosh Vortex series. Around this time, a whistling variant of the Pocket Vortex was introduced, known as the Vortex Pocket Howler. The fins on this particular variant are substantially blockier than a normal Pocket Vortex football.

It would later be re-released under the Street Zone series, and was later folded into the Nerf Sports series.

The Pocket Vortex was renamed to the Pocket Aero Flyer in 2011, due to the release of the Vortex series to avoid confusion. Despite this, the word "Vortex" is still printed into the football.
