Nerf Number Codes help tell someone how many darts a blaster has, how a blaster is loaded, and what type of blaster it is.

Codes List

There are a few common codes in the names of N-Strike Nerf guns:

CS: Clip System

The Longshot CS-6, Longstrike CS-6, Recon CS-6, Raider CS-35, Deploy CS-6, and the Alpha Trooper CS-18 are clip system loaded and hold six darts. Some have drums clips which contain many more.

All clips and drums are interchangeable between clip-sytem blasters.

REV: Revolver

The Firefly REV-8, Maverick REV-6, and the Spectre REV-5 are revolver system firing blasters.

EX: External Single Fire

The Nite Finder EX-3 and the Switchshot EX-3 are single fire blasters.

EBF: Electric Belt Fed

The Vulcan EBF-25 is the only Electric Belt Fed blaster.

GL: Grenade Launcher

The BullSharc GL-8 and the Hammerhead GL-8 are Nerf grenade launchers.

ECS: Electric Clip System

The Stampede ECS is an electric clip system-feeding blaster.

IX: Internal Single Fire

The Scout IX-3, Reflex IX-1, and the Barrel Break IX-2 are in this class.

UB: Ultra Blaster

The Goliathan UB-1 is in this class.

AS: Air System

The Magstrike AS-10, Hornet AS-6, Secret Strike AS-1 and the Rapid Fire AS-20 are all in this class. When pumped, they store air within a tank, usually reserved for an all-out blast.

RV: Electronic Revolver

The Barricade RV-10 is in this class.
