The Nitron shield is a cancelled Nerf accessory that would have been released under the Vortex series.
Details[]
The Nitron shield, as its name suggests, is a shield that provides coverage from dart fire. It can attach to any Nerf blaster via tactical rail.
The shield, like the Hydro Cannon shield and Lightningstorm shield, is made of transparent orange plastic.
History[]
The packaging of the first batch of Pyragons depicted the Nitron with the shield and an additional ten disc magazine. It was thought that the Nitron would be re-released and given the shield instead of its scope. However, a later update to the packaging had the image replaced with one of a standard Nitron with a scope and single magazine. The shield was never released.
The shield was later seen in a prototype image of the 2012 N-Strike Elite Rampage in a smoky black color. Despite this image, the Rampage was released without a shield and the shield was, once again, never released.
Trivia[]
- The N-Strike Modulus Blast Shield has a similar shape and appearance to the Nitron shield.
