The Micro is an X-Shot blaster that was released in 2013.
It comes packaged with three X-Shot Darts.
Details
The Micro is a pocket-size single-shot blaster. Unlike the rest of the original X-Shot blasters that fire both darts and water, this blaster only fires darts. Similar to the Buzz Bee Tek 3, its priming mechanism has a dangling handle, presumably to help with its compactness. It has storage of an extra dart on top of the blaster; this can double as a set of iron sights.
When loaded, darts stick halfway out of the muzzle. This can cause older or worn darts to fishtail through the air when fired.
History
The Micro was first announced on May 7, 2013 on the official X-Shot Facebook page. The name was revealed at a later date. Smaller than the Dual, it was, at the time of its release, the smallest blaster in the X-Shot brand.
It was re-released under the Air Zone brand in late 2013 as the Micro X Shot.
Also in late 2013, the Micro was re-released under three new series, X-Shot Excel, X-Shot Girl, and X-Shot Zombie. For these new lines, the Micro was packaged with new Excel Darts. It was re-released back into the X-Shot line after this, with boosted performance and eight Excel Darts.
Color schemes
The Micro has been released in the following color schemes:
- X-Shot (green, black, and orange)
- X-Shot (white, dark blue, and orange)
- X-Shot Zombie (white, black, and orange)
- X-Shot Excel (yellow, blue, and orange)
- X-Shot Girl (pink, black, and orange)
- Playtive (blue, black and orange)
Modification
The Micro lacks an air restrictor. However, Micro blasters with updated performance do feature air restrictors.[citation needed]
Trivia
- The Micro can be compared to the Nerf N-Strike Jolt EX-1, which is the smallest official Nerf blaster that fires darts.
