The Merlin is a Buzz Bee blaster that was released in 2017 under the Air Warriors series.
Two come packaged in the Merlin 2X blaster set and cannot be purchased separately.
Details[]
The Merlin is a four shot blaster which features a four dart stationary turret on the front. Similar to the Gem, it does not utilize the use of an intelligent air restrictor. Instead, the Merlin features rotating internals which turn counter-clockwise and do not have any visual cues to show which barrel will fire.
It advertises a firing range of up to seventy-two feet (twenty-two meters).
History[]
The Merlin is a re-release of the Adventure Force Clash Combat. Oddly enough, it features firing ranges comparable to that of the original version of this blaster, the Ultra-Tek Wizard, but the shell and appearance of the Clash Combat. It was the first variant of the Wizard to be released with Air Warriors-standard Long Distance Darts.
It was later re-released as the Wizard with boosted firing ranges.
In France, it was released under the One Two Fun brand with a new color scheme.

Trivia[]
- The Merlin was named after Merlin, the famous legendary wizard featured in Arthurian Legend. This correlation ties into the original version of the blaster as well (the Wizard).
