The McCree Blaster is a Nerf blaster that was released in 2019 under the RIVAL series to promote the video game Overwatch.
Included contents[]
- 1 McCree Blaster
- 1 badge
- 6 Overwatch High-Impact Rounds
Details[]
The McCree Blaster is a breech-loading single-fire blaster. It is based on the Peacekeeper revolver used by the Overwatch character Cassidy (previously "McCree").
The blaster's safety switch is located under the barrel. A priming indicator sticks out of the bottom of the barrel as well when it is primed. This indicator doubles as an unjamming button; when engaged, the user can press it down to allow the blaster to be primed again in order to clear any jams.
Despite there being a hammer on the back of the blaster, the McCree Blaster is slide-action; this hammer presses down when the blaster is primed, to simulate a hammer-action system. It can also be manually pressed down without priming the blaster itself, though this does nothing.

Justice ain't gonna dispense itself. An iron-willed lawbringer, Overwatchs McCree hands out justice and fights for causes he believes in. Overwatch fans can now take on the role of McCree with this blaster designed in the style of his signature accessory in Blizzard Entertainments internationally acclaimed team-based action game. This Nerf Rival Overwatch blaster also includes a collectible die cast badge like the one worn by McCree in the game. The blaster features a spinning spur on the handle, a swing-open barrel, a hammer that moves when the trigger is pulled, a spring-action mechanism, and a trigger lock to prevent it from firing accidentally. It fires 1 round at a velocity of up to 90 feet per second (27 meters per second). Comes with 6 Overwatch Nerf Rival rounds. Hasbro and all related terms are trademarks of Hasbro. Trivia[]
- The blaster being packaged with six High-Impact Rounds is a reference to how the in-game Peacekeeper revolver holds six rounds. However, the blaster itself is only supposed to hold one.
- Although it is designed to fire only one round, it can fit more than one round in the breech. Firing more than one round at once weakens blaster performance.
