The Lumitron is a Nerf blaster that was released on March 3, 2012, under the Light It Up sub-series. It requires four "AA" batteries to operate its magazine light to make the discs glow.

Included contents[]

Details[]

The Lumitron is a pump-action magazine-fed blaster similar to the Vortex Praxis. Magazine release levers are located on either side of the blaster, behind the firing trigger; an unjamming switch is located on the right side of the blaster, above the magazine well. Despite it not coming with one, it is compatible with Nerf removable shoulder stocks.

It also features a tactical rail on top of it, as well as two sling points built into the blaster's iron sights.

Official description[]

History[]

The Lumitron is a re-release of the Praxis, sans standard ten disc magazine and shoulder stock.

Blaster sets[]

A Kohl's exclusive Special Value Pack contains a Lumitron, a Firefly Tech magazine, and twenty-four glow-in-the-dark discs.

Trivia[]

  • Similar to the Pyragon, the Lumitron can hold eleven XLR discs at once by reloading and priming the blaster, then taking out the magazine, placing a new disc into it, and loading the magazine back in.
  • The Lumitron is one of the few Vortex blasters to not be re-released under a new color scheme. Curiously enough, the Firefly Tech magazine has been updated into a modern color scheme.
