Gameplay[]
Laser Ops Pro features two game modes: singleplayer and multiplayer.
Singleplayer is "Drone Battle", an augmented reality game involving the mobile device's camera, which adds enemy robot targets for the player to fire at. This can be played without a Laser Ops blaster, and provides touch controls to fire and reload.
Multiplayer allows multiple people to play, either through one device shared (Single Device) or separate devices for each player (All Device). With All Device, each blaster's stats and information are tracked on separate devices, allowing for more customizable play. Single Device instead does not feature these options and simply works as a way to play a simple game of laser tag. Multiplayer matches have two standard game modes, Free For All and Team Battle, as well as an option to customize match settings, like match length or if power-ups are allowed.
Blasters connected to the device can be upgraded through the app after they are connected and given a unique name. These upgrades are purchased through in-game tokens, "Nerf Laser Ops Points", earned for leveling up connected blasters. There are also options for a "power ability", which can be used during matches.
