The Infinus is a Nerf blaster that was released in fall of 2018[1] under the N-Strike Elite series.
It comes packaged with a thirty dart drum, thirty Elite Darts, and instructions.
Details
The Infinus is a clip system blaster similar to the RapidStrike CS-18 in design. It features Speed-load Technology which is exclusive to the Infinus. There is a funnel in the back of the blaster, which will load darts fed through this funnel into any inserted clip without it having to be removed. It also has an electronic status indicator, with lights that tell the user if the blaster is ready to fire, ready to be reloaded, or if it has jammed.[1]
The Infinus features an integrated stock in the back that houses the batteries, two tactical rails, and four strap points. Its clip release button is located just in front of its acceleration trigger. It also has a barrel extension attachment point on the front.
When a dart is inserted, a conveyor at the top forces the dart in, once it is in, it is brought to a chamber in which a mechanism pushes down on it, causing the dart to be loaded into the clip of the blaster.

Blast into action with on-the-go dart loading for non-stop battling! The Nerf N-Strike Elite Infinus blaster features motorized Speed-Load Technology that automatically loads darts in the drum. The drum stays attached to the blaster, so battlers do not have to remove the drum to reload. They can load and fire darts without removing the drum, so they can keep battling as they’re reloading. The motorized Infinus blaster has a detachable 30-dart drum and comes with 30 Elite darts, giving kids plenty of firepower. The blaster is compatible with most other Nerf N-Strike Elite drums and clips (each sold separately). Crush opponents with a relentless barrage of darts from the Nerf N-Strike Elite Infinus blaster, which features Speed-Load Technology that automatically loads darts into the drum! |
History
The Infinus was originally leaked in the summer of 2017, along with other blasters. Its name was originally unknown, until a distributor website unintentionally revealed its name.[2] Official information was announced in January 23, 2018[1], confirming a new drum magazine, a price point, and key/unique features of the blaster. It was later shown off at the 2018 New York Toy Fair.
In Australia, it was initially exclusive to Big W.
Trivia
- The Infinus may be used by Nerfers exclusively as a way of quickly loading spare clips.
- The blaster seems to be a spiritual successor to the HyperFire, the Rapidstrike, or even to the N-Strike Stampede ECS.
- The Infinus is the only blaster currently to feature a thirty-dart drum. So far, it has not been released with any other blaster or separately. It may be a way to bridge the gap in capacity between the twenty-five dart drum and the thirty-five dart drum.
- The loading mechanism has a indicator light that shows if it is full, empty, or unable to load.
- It is nearly impossible to jam the loading hole when using standard darts.[3]
- The Infinus doesn't do well with wet darts.
