As its name suggests, the Hail-Fire Upgrade Kit is meant to be an extension pack for the Hail-Fire. The kit is designed to improve the capacity of the Hail-Fire, which does not come packaged with as many darts or clips as it be loaded with. With the stock blaster clips and this upgrade kit, the Hail-Fire has a capacity of forty-eight darts. Although it says on the box that it is for the Hail-Fire, the included clips can be used for any Nerf clip system blaster.

Trivia[]
- Despite the Hail-Fire being re-released as a Sonic ICE blaster, the Hail-Fire Upgrade Kit did not feature a similar re-release, with the Sonic ICE translucent six dart clips.
