The Glider Launcher is a Nerf blaster that was released in 1997 under the Aero series.

Included contents[]

Details[]

The Glider Launcher is a HAMP-action missile blaster. A small trigger grip is located on the orange handle at the front of the blaster.

Despite it being an effective re-release of the NB-1 Missile Blaster, it has one identifiable molding difference, as the end of the missile post has an orange tip added to it.

There are two different variations of the Glider Launcher. One has no paint details and uses lighter plastic[citation needed]. The other has paint splatter details, uses heavier plastic[citation needed], and has a different barrel tip.

History[]

The Glider Launcher is a re-release of the 1992 Kenner NB-1 Missile Blaster with a new color scheme and a different ammunition type. This version notably lacks the missile storage the NB-1 has.

Its listing in a 1997 product catalog features a blue and orange color scheme[1]; it is unknown if this color scheme was ever released.

It was the first product released in the Aero series and the only blaster to be released in the series.

Color schemes[]

The Glider Launcher has been released with the following color schemes:

  • Yellow, black, and orange
  • 1997 catalog (blue, black, and orange)

Trivia[]

  • Despite having the Hasbro name molded into the blaster, Hasbro was not directly involved in the production of Nerf products until 2000.
