For the Nerf Sawtooth five dart clip, see Five dart clip.

The five dart clip is a cancelled Buzz Bee dart clip that would have been released in 2010 under the Ultimate Blasters series.

It comes packaged with the Ultimate Clip Blast and cannot be purchased separately.

Details[]

The five dart clip, as its name implies, is designed to hold five Micro Darts at a time but it will comfortably fit a sixth dart. Since the clip was designed to take Micro Darts, it curves backwards to accommodate them having a larger diameter dart head than their bodies. It is unique in that the clip release to remove it from a loaded blaster is on the clip itself, rather than the blaster.

The clip does not feature any lips; instead, it features two spring-assisted tabs that keep the follower in place, like a Nerf RIVAL magazine. This design allows the clip to be removed at any time, unlike with clip system blasters, which usually need to be partially primed to remove clips. These tabs can be depressed to eject any darts from the clip, and they are also depressed when inserted into a blaster in order to feed darts into the chamber. The follower also has a lever on the side for the user to manually pull it down.

The clip's follower does not feature a spring directly underneath it, as one would expect, but rather, uses a rack and pinion with a spring-assisted gear to index the follower.

It is only compatible with the Ultimate Clip Blast.

History[]

While the clip's design is virtually identical to the 2009 Clip Blaster 10's ten dart clip, differences in the size of the lower parts of the clips prevent them from locking into each other's clip housing making them not cross-compatible.

Trivia[]

  • The nature in which the five dart clip curves back to accommodate for Micro Darts is similar to how the Nerf Dart Tag Quick 16's integrated clip was designed.
