The Recon flip-up sight is a Nerf flip-up sight that was released in 2008 under the N-Strike series.

It comes packaged with the Recon CS-6 and cannot be purchased separately.

Details[]

The Recon flip-up sight is a sight that attaches to any blaster via tactical rail. It has an orange piece that can be adjusted to different positions for aiming. To adjust the height of the piece, rotate it slightly to loosen it, then move to the required height and rotate it the other way to secure it. The sight can be folded down when not in use.

The sight is used by first judging the distance of the target and moving the aiming hole piece up or down to match said target. Users should aim down for closer targets and up for further away targets. Finally, line up the hole of the aiming hole piece with the end of a front iron sight on a barrel extension, and shoot. For short-range use, the sight has edge notches that, when the sight is folded, can also line up with the front sights on the Recon barrel extension.

Trivia[]

  • If the actual sight section is removed, leaving only the base, many custom sights can be made. This can also be done with the Longstrike flip-up sight.
  • In Nerf N-Strike Elite, the Recon flip-up sight is featured as a blaster add-on, as the 1.5x Flip Up Sight.
