Details[]

The Apollo XV-700 is a slide-action magazine-fed blaster with its magazine well built into its handle. A safety feature prevents the blaster from being fired when not in use; the switch for this sits just above the firing trigger. On the rear of the blaster is a priming indicator that turns orange when the Apollo is primed.

A later revision of the Apollo saw the addition of an unjamming button[1], located on the left rear side of the blaster. When primed, pushing it down will deactivate the lock keeping the bolt closed, allowing the user to open the chamber and clear the jam by allowing the ball to free-fall out of the grip. This can be used to fire more than one round at a time.

A single tactical rail sits atop the blaster.

It advertises a firing speed of a hundred feet per second.

It was later re-released under the Phantom Corps sub-series in 2017 and as a Camo Series blaster in 2018. It was also released as a cross-promotional product, with Star Wars and Deadpool variants.

Blaster sets[]

Two Apollo blasters are included in the Apollo XV-700 Face Off Duel blaster set. It was also released with a value pack that included a Face Mask.

Trivia[]

  • The Apollo XV-700 is named after Apollo, the Greek and Roman god of prophecy and oracles, music, song and poetry, archery, healing, plague and disease, and the protection of the young.
    • Apollo is also the twin brother of Artemis, after whom the Artemis XVII-3000 is named.
  • The Apollo XV-700 is able to chamber and fire two rounds at once. To accomplish this, the user must first prime the blaster normally and then press down on the unjamming button to unlock the priming handle. This allows the blaster to be primed a second time, which will chamber another round. It is not recommended to chamber more than two or three rounds, otherwise the blaster may jam.
  • The Apollo is the most re-released Nerf blaster from the RIVAL series, having six different variants.
  • Like other magazine-fed RIVAL blasters, the Apollo can hold one more round than its magazine capacity, if it has a round chambered and a full magazine inserted into the blaster.
