The eight dart ammo rail is a Nerf ammo rail accessory that was released in 2010 under the N-Strike series.

It comes packaged with the Barrel Break IX-2 and BattleCamo Firestrike, and cannot be purchased separately.

Details

The eight dart ammo rail is a tactical rail ammunition storage accessory. It holds up to eight darts at a time for quickly reloading a blaster. Each dart holder has a small ridge, which secures the dart in place, so that it does not fall out. The third, fourth, and fifth dart holders on the eight dart ammo rail are elevated, as to accommodate the mechanism that holds it on the rail.

Streamline Darts are known to sometimes fall off the ammo rail due to their tips. Darts may sometimes fall out when removing the accessory from a blaster, as there is no easy place to grip it if all eight slots are full.

History

For unknown reasons, the eight dart ammo rail was not included with the 2013 Elite Repaint re-release of the Barrel Break IX-2. An orange variant would later be made available with the 2014 Sonic FIRE Barrel Break. This same color scheme was also made available with the BattleCamo Series Firestrike in 2018.
