The eight dart ammo rail is a Nerf ammo rail accessory that was released in 2010 under the N-Strike series.

It comes packaged with the Barrel Break IX-2 and BattleCamo Firestrike, and it cannot be purchased separately.

The eight dart ammo rail can attach to Nerf blasters via tactical rail. The rail itself can hold up to eight extra darts and is ideal for quick reloading. Streamline Darts are known to sometimes fall off the ammo rail due to the tip surface. It fits onto most blasters via tactical rail. Each dart holder has a tiny ridge, which allows the dart to stay secured within the unit without falling out.

For unknown reasons, the eight dart ammo rail was not included with the 2013 Elite Repaint re-release of the Barrel Break IX-2.

However, the rail made an appearance on the 2014 Sonic FIRE Barrel Break IX-2. This same orange variant was also made available with the BattleCamo Series Firestrike in 2018.

Color schemes

The eight dart ammo rail has been released in the following color schemes:

  • The darts may sometimes fall out when taking the eight dart ammo rail off, as there is no easy place to grip the accessory if all eight slots are full.
  • The third, fourth and fifth dart holders on the storage for the eight dart ammo rail are elevated; the reason for this is to accommodate the mechanism that holds it on the rail.
