The Double Launcher is a Nerf blaster that was released in November of 2009 as a McDonald's Happy Meal kids toy.
Included contents[]
- 1 Double Launcher
- 2 targets
- 2 Launcher Darts
Details[]
The Double Launcher features two barrels that fire simultaneously. As the blaster is to be held stationary, and due to its bottom plate, it cannot be aimed diagonally. It features the typical N-Strike color scheme of yellow, black, grey and orange. It is fired by pressing a button located at the end of the blaster; as the blaster features two buttons and two barrels, presumably it is possible to fire both barrels off at once.
History[]
It was one of four promotional blasters released for one month in 2009 at participating McDonalds restaurants, alongside the Cannon Launcher, Swivel Launcher, and Range Launcher.
Modification[]
Due to its status as a promotional blaster that is not intended for serious performance, the blaster is incredibly difficult to modify. The simple internals and small shell of the blaster leave it alongside the rest of the McDonald's promotional blasters relatively difficult to make any large changes. At most, a spring replacement can be made.
Like many McDonalds toys, the McDonald's Nerf blasters feature triangular-headed screws, which are rather uncommon.[1]
Trivia[]
- While common for McDonald's toys, this is one of the few blasters to be sold in a polybag.
