The Disc Launching Shield is a Hasbro blaster that was released in 2011 to promote the film Captain America: The First Avenger. It requires four "AA" batteries to be operated.

Details[]
The Disc Launching Shield resembles a miniature version of Captain America's shield and mounts to the user's wrist for use. The trigger is located where the fingers sit, allowing for easy activation. The discs are very similar to the ones used with the Motorized Arc FX Gauntlet and the Motorized Spider Force Web Blaster.
It advertises a range of up to twenty feet (six meters).
History[]
It was later followed up in 2013 with the Stealthfire Shield, which fired Elite Darts instead of discs.
Reloading and firing[]
To reload the Disc Launching Shield, open up the flap at the top of the blaster and insert five discs. Close the flap and strap the blaster onto an arm before turning the power on. Wait for a few seconds to allow the blaster's flywheel motors to fully prepare.
Pull the trigger to fire a disc.
