Nerf Wiki

The Backlash is a Nerf blaster that was released in 1995 under the Ambush Rip Rockets series.

Included contents[]

Details[]

The Backlash is a single-fire blaster designed to act as a "Remote-Activated Sniper Attack" weapon. It features a large suction cup under it, allowing it to be attached to a wall or other surface; it is the only Nerf blaster designed like this. It does not feature a firing trigger and is instead fired via pulling on a cord. The cord allows the blaster to be fired from up to three feet away.[1] It features two-dart storage under the blaster's muzzle.

History[]

The Backlash was released twice as a promotional blaster for the 1997 film Batman & Robin as the Bat-Tazer and the blaster packaged with the Utility Belt blaster set. The Bat-Tazer was notable for featuring a handle and removing the dart storage.

The Backlash was re-released alongside the rest of the Ambush Rip Rockets line in 2000 with updated packaging.
