The Attack Unit was the first Nerf six-blaster set. When it was first released, it featured the early version of the Reflex IX-1 with a larger belt hoop at the bottom of the blaster. This was removed in approximately mid-2009 and was updated to the then-current smaller type of belt hoop.
Alongside the rest of the N-Strike line, the packaging received an update for 2010.
