Which Jupiter?

It highly depends on what type of nerfer you are, and your individual playstyle. The consensus in the NIC is that it's a great plinker, but so-so effective for nerf wars. The ROF is very low for a RIVAL blaster, and from a performance perspective it is not much better than the Kronos.

It has a somewhat sniper-esque look and feel, but it's no more effective than smaller less expensive RIVAL blasters, and cannot compete head-to-head with full-auto flywheel RIVALs like the Khaos, Nemesis, Perses, or Prometheus.

By all accounts, it's a niche blaster that's beloved by certain nerfers. Maybe we could be more specific if we knew more about your playstyle and objectives.

That only works with the OOD Jupiter. The @Darkknitter specifically called out the "nerf Jupiter".

Mostly redundant with what @Elliottw already said, but...

"Worth it" is pretty subjective.

If you WANT a slow-ass bolt-action rifle with a bipod, I don't think anyone is going to argue that the Jupiter is overpriced, by any value standards.

Can you get far more effective foam-ball flingers for that same amount of money, though? Well yes, you most certainly can.
