Where did you find that?
It's quite commonplace for Amazon sellers (not Amazon itself, but they host 3rd-party listings like Walmart and ebay do) to outrageously mark up anything that's classified as "discontinued".
Most of these sellers have plenty of storage space and no problem sitting on them until the price climbs to the amount they're asking.
I mean, eventually those will be the only NIB ones still for sale, right? LOL
If you're going to USE it anyway, just look for a used one. (Make sure it still has shells though, because you can't shoot it without those...)
